Crested Butte Center for the Arts

Stephanie currently works as the Program Manager responsible for creating and growing the Performing Arts, Literary Arts, and Education programs at the Crested Butte Center for the Arts. She is responsible for programming Dance, Theatre, and Classical Music events, as well as facilitating Literary events and designing Educational offerings. She also manages the Crested Butte Creative District and sits on the Public Art Commission for the Town of Crested Butte.

  • Following nearly a decade without a local community choir present in the area, Stephanie founded the North Fork Community Choir in 2015, which has since grown to a moderate-sized collegiate-level community chorus. Under her direction, the choir performs a rotation of themed octavo concerts, summer a cappella sessions, and masterworks with instrumentation. In 2022, the NFCC filed as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and now provides free childcare, ongoing board development, mentorship, and part-time employment opportunities. Learn More

  • Stephanie currently serves as the first Executive Director for the Valley Symphony Association in Montrose, CO, following two and a half years on the Board of Directors. Under her direction, the VSA is undergoing a strategic planning process and structural overhaul, having just passed both the 50-year mark and the $150k budgetary mark. Learn More

  • From August 2021 until May 2023, Stephanie taught the 3rd and 4th Grade strings program at the North Fork School of Integrated Studies in Paonia, CO. From designing an integrated curriculum to creating and executing daily lesson plans, Stephanie’s approach focused on cross-pollinating math, science, language, and art with music in ways that focused on developing individual skill and group collaboration, including a high percentage of in-class special needs incorporations.

  • As a graduate student, Stephanie was responsible for all social media and digital marketing for the Florida State University College of Music for two years, spanning a transition between Dr. Stanley Pelkey and Dr. Grady Enlow as Deans of the Office of Community Engagement. During this time, she increased the college’s social media reach by over 20% on Facebook and Instagram, synthesizing information from nine departments into a single brand identity.

  • Stephanie served as a board member of the Tallahassee Community chorus during their transition between artistic directors Dr. Andre Thomas and Dr. Michael Hanawalt, including during the chorus’ major group travel to the ACDA 2019 Kansas City Convention. Learn More

  • Stephanie was the Operations Assistant at the Sitka Music Festival during the 2018 summer season, providing contract fulfillment, lighting, sound, stage management, and outreach logistics for both the professional chamber series and the student cello academy. Learn More
